Biomutant is an action role playing game by experiment 101 and THQ Nordic. It is a story where a plague is ruining the new world and the tree of life is bleeding death from its roots. The players are also guided by a storyteller that narrates every step of their journey.

Release Date

Biomutant Release Date was first announced two years ago, but then at GamesCom 2018, THQ Nordic which acquired the Biomutant IP and its developers Experiment 101 in November 2017 announced that Biomutant has been delayed from its initially planned 2018 release date to 2019, while an exact release date even remains unannounced as of now.

Gameplay

Biomutant is an action role playing game that is contested from a third person perspective in which the player takes control of a raccoon like creature in a world featuring mutated animals. 

The player collects objects throughout the game and combines these objects to create a weapon. The game features various affixes, including cryogenic and electrical, which are effective in battles. When a cryogenic object is put onto a weapon, enemies will freeze when hit. 

The protagonist is able to dodge to the left, right and backward, as well as jump. Besides levelling up the playable character, the player can also use level-up points to strengthen his attributes to unlock new attack combinations. Biomutant additionally features Karma system for non-playable characters and a companion system for recruiting allies for fighting and travelling alongside the player. 

Depending on the actions, interactions and decisions made by the player throughout the game, the stances characters take can vary, which has an influence on the continuation of the story as dialogues and quest lines will be changed.
