Control is a game developed by Remedy Entertainment; it is a supernatural third person action adventure game that challenges the players to master the combination of supernatural abilities, modifiable load outs and reactive environments while fighting through a deep and unpredictable world. Control is Jesse Faden's story and her personal search for answers as she grows into a role of director.

According to its 2017 financial statement, Remedy Entertainment has stated that Control will launch for PS4, Xbox one and PC by August 27, 2019. For PC it will be releasing as an Epic Games Store exclusive, foregoing Steam like a number of other titles in recent memory.

The player will play as Jesse Faden, the organisation is based in a Brutalist structure in New York simply called the Oldest House. Remedy hasn't explained how exactly, but through mysterious events, Faden is appointed as a new director and she acquires supernatural powers.

Gameplay

The main focus of the game is on the search of Jesse's answers to the Federal Bureau of Control, a government agency flooded with corrupt secrets. Jesse has powerful abilities that enable her to tear every object of the environment, whether it's a rubbish bin, rocks or a wall. Supernatural powers are not the only means of fighting back. She also has weapons called service weapons; they can adopt different properties as changes occur.

The service weapon can be upgraded throughout the game using a skill tree in order to gain new powers. The service weapons have two different forms of demo; the first acts like a machine pistol while the other delivering a brutal blast after charging up for a few seconds. Fast travel points are dotted on the map; it means the players are free to return to the old haunts in search of unreachable places. The players can do adjustments like damage, health and other attributes as per their liking; however the players need to kill or defeat the enemies to earn best of the best.

The game is customised with a series of modes. Some of Jesse's abilities allow her to seize control of enemies' minds temporarily, turning them into her allies, and allowing their abilities to be used for the player's benefit.

As the players unlock new abilities, new areas of the Oldest House can be explored.
